A growing voice rooted in lived experience and guided by purpose.
Speaking and advocacy are not just future goals for Abe Bilodeau—they are a calling shaped by lived experience, deep reflection, and a desire to create understanding, hope, and change.
While Abe is in the early stages of formal speaking, the topics he hopes to address are ones he has lived, wrestled with, and continues to walk through every day. His journey with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and a spinal cord injury has required redefining identity, purpose, and possibility—lessons he feels called to share as opportunities arise.
Abe is currently developing speaking opportunities with:
Individuals and families navigating spinal trauma or neurological conditions
Educators seeking resilience, perspective, and renewed purpose
Faith-based groups exploring perseverance, identity, and hope
Community organizations and support groups
Advocacy in Action
Advocacy is where Abe’s voice has already begun to take shape.
He has served as a board member with the United Spinal Association at the local Tennessee level, and has participated in advocacy efforts at the national level, including attending United Spinal Association’s Roll on Capitol Hill event in Washington, D.C.
Through these experiences, Abe has engaged in conversations around:
Accessible transportation
Medicaid and healthcare access
Wheelchair repair reform
Disability rights, access, and community inclusion
His advocacy is grounded in lived experience and a growing commitment to helping shape systems that better serve individuals with disabilities.
